Sheba steps into her future
VEBR was notified about Sheba in March 2017. Her time was running out in a South Carolina shelter, with ears cut by scissors, intact and heart worm positive. Over the next five months, the rescue would have all her medical updated including heart worm treatment, to the tune of over $700. She was then boarded and then placed with a foster family. Everyone that met Sheeba described her with one common word, “sweet.”
She was then transported to Vermont and we all fell head over heels with her ‘old soul’ eyes and how she relished kind, human touch. Many were put off by her looks, but when Dan from New Hampshire saw her, it was true love.
On this damp, rainy morning Dan made the three hour drive to meet her. Happily zipping around the yard with joy, she knew she had found her human. She really did.
Dan will give her what she deserves: attention, care, devotion, and most of all, love. We celebrate the adoption of our Sheba as she takes the next step into her future.
