Senior Sheldon finds his loving home…finally.
Sheldon, formerly Buddy, adopted a week ago by Jodie and her family is settling right in. This poor dog has been passed from one home to another for his entire 10 years. He arrived with infected ears, infected eyes, obese and dirty. In spite of all of that his gentle soul shone through. Thankfully he was not with us for long as his family had been waiting for the right moment and the perfect dog. Did I say that Sheldon is 10 years old? Do you know how many folks want us seniors? Not many.
This family had known the loss of Penelope a young and beautiful Old English Bulldog. The expectation was that they would have many years together. Sadly, that was not to be. Penelope’s kind and gentle light shone brightly for too short a time. This family lived the experience that we tell many folks about. There are no guarantees with a puppy. Having experienced that, taking on this great senior boy was an easy leap.
They will embrace him, love him and make every wrinkly moment count, because there are no guarantees, just moments….. Squeeze that boy like a grapefruit and savor every drop! Penelope will be watching with approval.
