Meet Rhodey

Rhodey has had a rough time of it. First owned by an abusive man who sprayed him with water and kept him locked up in a small room. Then rescued from the next door neighbor after being abandoned by said abuser. One would think that would be the fairy tail ending but no. Rhodey lived with the family who rescued him for two years until they had a baby. He was then brought to the local high kill shelter and dropped off. Rhodey was pretty much considered to be unadoptable and was placed on the euthanasia list.

We saw him, loved him and were not willing to let this sweet boy’s story end this way. Rhodey is about as calm and collected as a dog can be. He LOVES to go on walks, and several miles is not too much. Rhodey has lived in a home with other dogs and cats and done very well. He has very good basic obedience training and will be a great addition to any family. Rhodey has some arthritic changes in his hips and is on a high quality joint supplement.

We feel that he will do great in any home but perhaps better without very small children who might use him to get up or accidentally step on him. Will someone give this boy his forever home?
