Jude has been adopted!

Jude’s Adoption:

Jude is a 7-year-old gentle giant, typically moving at a pace that might keep up with a tortoise. With a history of skin allergies, Jude has been looking for a furever home that can offer him the love, affection, patience, and care that will allow him to live out a full and happy life.

With references screened and information of Jude’s history shared, Kym and family made the decision to be Jude’s furever family. They were not deterred by his history. They asked good questions, took notes, and even arrived with their own ramp to help him get into their vehicle!

After climbing his way into Kym’s vehicle, Jude immediately perched himself right between the two front seats, as if he knew exactly what was happening. He looked ready for the adventures that lay ahead. Happy life to you, Jude! Today is your day!

Jude’s Story:

Jude is a sweet companion. He is an adult Anatolian Shepherd & Great Pyrenees mix. Jude loves to be scratched and if you pet him in the right spot he will kick his legs. He loves to lean on you and put his head through your legs to get more attention. He doesn’t bark a lot and on walks, he doesn’t pull on his leash to chase after other people or dogs. He does like to sniff and stop a lot on his walks. He doesn’t like long walks – maybe 15-20 minutes a day. He would make a great companion for someone looking for a loving and quiet dog. He sleeps a lot during the day and doesn’t get up during the night so he will wait all night to go out to the bathroom. He doesn’t like climbing up stairs so stays on one floor of the house. He does need assistance or a ramp to get into the car, but once in he is perfectly happy. He would benefit from a low key household – no small children. He did get along with a cat he previously cohabitated with.
