Gus

Gus has had a hard time lately. He was loving surrendered to our rescue when his mom realized that she couldn’t give him the continuing care needed to maintain his health. A tough, but right decision for Gus. He was a very loved member of the family.

In the short time we’ve had him, his allergies have been tamed, his diet changed, and medications updated. This will be a life-long, day-to-day journey. He’s on the road to wellness and today he met just the family to facilite. An experienced, and current bulldog owner, Catherine and her family, including bulldog Zoe, have opened their hearts and home to Gussy.

Having all he’s known his entire life changed, he would sit completely still in his crate with his head hanging low. He’d throw his head back and howl a desperate cry that broke our hearts. His world was upside down and he was trying to make sense of it. All that changed when he met Zoe, quite the looker, and his new family. He came alive doing the bulldog wiggle, being playful with a light, we hadn’t previously seen, in his eyes.

Catherine is committed to giving Gus all he needs and daily snuggles that come with being in a loving, supportive enviroment. We are thrilled for the family and this sweet, deserving boy.
